Manual Therapy: Manual Therapy techniques are specialized hands-on skills consisting of joint mobilizations and manipulations as well as soft-tissue techniques designed to decrease pain, restore movement and improve function.

Mechanical and Electrical Modalities: Physiotherapists may use different modalities for pain relief, muscle spasm, inflammation and swelling, wound healing, increasing movement and strength. Examples of modalities include Hot and Cold Interventions, Ultrasound, Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulation (TNS), Interferential Current (IFC), Muscle Stimulation (EMS), Remedial exercises.
